Hawaiian Bros Island Grill Plans Several Kentucky Locations in New Expansion
Kentucky Restaurants
When it comes to wondering what national restaurant chain we could get next here in Kentucky, I've ticked off several types in my mind that we might not even need. I'm thinking burgers, Mexican, ice cream, and chicken. I think we're covered there, don't you?
While I realize that any new national chain opening in any state or region for the first time will generate excitement, regardless of its theme, I like "new." And a random search has satisfied my longing, so to speak. A national chain serving up Hawaiian cuisine is not only coming to Kentucky, but there will be many locations when it does.
Hawaiian Bros Island Grill
Hawaiian Bros Island Grill is set to make a big splash in Kentucky, with eight locations planned for Greater Louisville. New openings are also expected in Lexington and Bowling Green.
You know, when I think Hawaiian cuisine, I immediately think "pineapple." Wouldn't anyone? Also, based on its popularity on the islands, Spam comes to mind. Now, let's take a look at that menu and see how close I've come.
Okay, so I found both(pineapple shows up as a side order and as an ingredient in the Hawaiian Bros' wraps; SPAM Musubi is also a side), but I also found a delectable variety of chicken dishes with entrees coated in different signature marinades.
I'm in love. And so are the folks in Hawaiian Bros Island Grill's hometown of Kansas City.
Oh, I didn't mention Dole Pineapple Whip and Icees? Yeah, they have Dole Pineapple Whip and Icees. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better. There are currently 75 Hawaiian Bros Island Grill locations in 14 states, but no exact locations or opening dates for the Kentucky locations have been announced.
