Sparky’s Handsome Cat Cafe to Open in Owensboro Next Week
Named after one of the coolest cats to ever walk through the SPARKY doors, the Handsome Cat Cafe is set to open next week. I went by today to get a sneak peek, so keep scrolling for the cutest pictures!
Handsome Cat Cafe Opens Next Wednesday
This has been a labor of love full of surprises and unexpected roadblocks, but the team at Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky has persevered! Starting next Wednesday, you'll be able to visit these cutie pies and more! These four are the Hamilton kitties. Angelica, Peggy, Laurens, and Lafayette. They are so friendly and HILARIOUS!

Handsome Cat Cafe Hours & Price
Executive Director, Bridget Austin, told me that the Handsome Cat Cafe will be open Wednesdays through Sundays. It will cost $10 per person to enter, and there is no time limit. You can buy treats for the cats for a couple of dollars, and the cutest sassy shirts.
Hit Up a Local Shop or Food Truck First
The human snack and drink situation is BYO (bring your own). Not the initial plan, but the health department has its rules for a reason, so hopefully, food trucks and coffee trucks will reach out to partner with Sparky and set up right outside. Win! Win! (Also, wink wink nudge nudge to any food entrepreneurs out there. Contact info below if you want to collab!)
As you can see, there is plenty of higher seating if you want to keep your snacks away from the sneaky kitties!

Snuggle Adoptable Cats at SPARKY
This little sweetie was SUPER friendly. He looks like he's ready to pounce on my head. Just a reminder, all cats who hang out at the cafe are adoptable and ready to go!

How to Contact Handsome Cat Cafe in Owensboro
Folks have asked about hosting birthday parties at the Handsome Cat Cafe, so they are going to give it a whirl. Starting out, groups of 15 can rent the space for two hours for $100. These cuties are ready to rock and roll! Do you know how hard it is to photograph a kitten playing? SO precious though!
