Having more places to buy quality groceries at a low price is always a good thing and it looks like there may be more locations of a popular discount chain opening soon.

These Grocery Stores in Illinois and Wisconsin Ranked as America's Worst

A recent survey of grocery chains across the U.S. revealed some interesting information about a few stores located in Illinois and Wisconsin that were among the country's worst for customer service. 

The Maharaja Grocery and Liquor in Madison, Wisconsin was ranked as the grocery store with the 17th worst customer service in America with a 5.75 percent frequency of negative reviews.

In Illinois, the Green Grocer Chicago on W. Grand Avenue had a 5.66 percent frequency of negative reviews ranking it the 19th worst in America for customer service.

One of the Most Popular U.S. Grocery Stores Opening 800 More Locations

In a recent survey that ranked the best grocery stores in America, a few national chains that made the list have dozens of locations in Illinois.

Among the best U.S. groceries, the Illinois-based discount grocery store Aldi has consistently ranked as one of the Top 10, and with the announcement of more locations even more Americans will have the opportunity to experience shopping Aldi.

In a Supermarket News report, they said Aldi is expected to spend over $9 billion to expand their footprint and open 800 new locations in the next 5 years.

Growth of Aldi is expected to be "in Southern California, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, among others, by the end of 2028."
