The Humane Society of Henderson County has big plans for the end of January involving dogs in its care and it needs your help to make it happen.

The details of what that event is exactly are being kept under wraps for the time being, but President Stacey McCord-Crooks did reveal in a post on Facebook Wednesday afternoon it will take place on January 27th from 9:00 AM until Noon, and will be "BIG." McCord-Crooks goes on to ask for donations of dog harnesses which will be necessary to make it happen. She's asking for medium, large, and a few extra large harnesses. No specific number of any size was mentioned only that the need is "mostly" for large harnesses.

Harness donations can be dropped off at the Humane Society at 203 Drury Lane in Henderson during regular business hours which are as follows:

  • Monday - Friday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
