We've all done it: downed a coffee, chugged a red bull, or even done a shot of 5 hour energy. But for one woman, the need to caffeinate went too far. According to reports, a 22 year-old unidentified female was admitted to a hospital saying she had a fever and complaining about upper abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. When all her tests came back normal the doctors sent her home, assuring her that nothing was wrong.

The woman then took a turn for the worse though and developed jaundice, which is generally a sign of kidney failure. Although her blood and urine test came back normal, her health was rapidly deteriorating and doctors were confused. That is until the woman admitted that she had been drinking 10 bottles of 5 Hour Energy per day for 2 Weeks. To make it seem even more absurd, if 5 Hour Energy really does give you the 5 hours of energy it claims, she consumed 700 hours of liquid energy in the span of 336 hours. Doctors said that her symptoms were due to an overdose of Vitamin B3, which is found in 5 Hour Energy and other similar products. In the company's defense, all their bottles warn to not drink more than two of the shots a day.
