The Henderson Tourism Commission is inviting photographers of all experience levels to help showcase the natural beauty of Henderson County through a new Henderson Nature Photo Contest.

The contest is open to anyone who has captured nature-themed photos within Henderson County, Kentucky. That includes landscapes, wildlife, birds, and outdoor moments that highlight what makes the area special. Entries will be reviewed by an anonymous juror from the Ohio Valley Art League.

Who Can Enter And What To Know

Photos must be taken in Henderson County and must be original work. All camera types are welcome, and light editing is allowed, but AI-generated images are not permitted. Each participant may submit up to three photos and must include the location and approximate date the photo was taken.

Submitted photos may be used by the Henderson Tourist Commission for promotional purposes, with proper credit given to the photographer. Entries that do not follow the posted rules may be disqualified.

How To Submit Your Photos

Entries should be emailed to ellie@hendersonky.org with the subject line Photo_Henderson_Nature. The deadline to submit photos is February 15, 2026.

Contest Categories And Prizes

Photos will be judged in four categories:

  • Best Landscape
  • Best Wildlife
  • Best Bird
  • Best In Show

Winners will be announced on February 18, 2026. Each winner will receive a prize from the Depot Gift Shop and will be featured on the Henderson Tourism Commission's social media platforms.
