HALT! Put down those Poptarts! Ditch the donuts! Cease the sugary cereal! Like all those alliterations? Me too!

When I get up at 5:15 AM, my stomach isn't ready for much of anything. In fact, I don't get hungry until about 8:30 AM - and I'm about an hour and a half into my workday by that point.

Our break room at work is only equipped with a microwave, toaster, and refrigerator. So, what's a healthy girl to do? With a little planning, you don't have to settle for junk. A healthy breakfast is only a few minutes away!

This morning, I made Harvest grain toast with butter, poached eggs, and a fresh orange. Cook time: 5 minutes total!

So here's what you need to bring: your favorite whole grain toast, two fresh eggs, butter, a piece of fruit.

First, you take a coffee cup and put about 1/3 cup water into the cup. Crack your egg and gently let it slide into the cup. Don't break the yoke. Put it into the microwave for 45 seconds. Pop your toast into the toaster. When the 45 seconds is up, flip over the egg with a spoon and microwave 15 more seconds. If you like your egg runny just decrease the original 45 seconds to 40.

Repeat with the second egg. Butter your toast. Peel your fruit.

That's it! It's a filling, 300-calorie breakfast that will keep you going until lunch!
