Andrew Marnell was arrested in LA on Thursday for stealing more than $8.5 million in Coronavirus Relief funds, and then spending it on drugs and gambling, NBC 4 reports.

Marnell is alleged to have applied for the millions in Paycheck Protection Program funds.

He was able to obtain the loans by applying using fraudulent documents and also several aliases.

In addition to spending the funds on drugs and gambling at a Las Vegas casino, Marnell also used some of the funds to invest in "risky stock-market bets" according to NBC 4.
