We've teamed up with our rescue friends in Posey County, Indiana. Each week we share an adoptable dog from PC Pound Puppies and an adoptable feline friend from Posey Humane Society as well as details on how you can make them a forever part of your home. Let me introduce you to your next best friend.

Meet Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt is a young pup who is ready to get up and get moving with you. Seriously - if you need a running partner to help you shed that "Covid 15" we've all packed on, Brad Pitt is your dog. At 1-2 years old, he is an active guy weighing in at just 47 pounds. PC Pound Puppies says Brad Pitt is

...house and crate trained, gets along with other dogs but not tested with cats yet. He's neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and heartworm negative.

The PC Pound Puppies adoption fee is $150 which goes to cover a portion of the vetting costs. If you're interested in adding this pup to your family, you can fill out an adoption application here. They also are offering a 2-week trial adoption opportunity with Brad Pitt to see if he is a good fit for you. The adoption process does require a completed application as well as an interview.

Meet Juno

Juno is a beautiful girl. At just 2 year old this Great Dane/lab mix is just out of that puppy stage and ready to be your good girl. Juno is more petite than most Danes and she is very friendly and loving however,

she does NOT get along well with the other dogs in her household

For this reason, Juno is looking for a new home where she can be "queen of the castle." She is spayed, up to date on shots and she is both house and crate trained. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Juno, you can fill out an adoption application here. See more adoptable dogs from PC Pound Puppies here and be sure to follow them on Facebook for the latest news and upcoming events.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the weekly PC Pound Puppies adoption events on Sundays at the Pet Food Center on First Avenue in Evansville have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. You can get in touch with PC Pound Puppies by email at pcpoundpuppies1@gmail.com or by phone at 812-483-4341. They do respond to inquiries and adoption applications at the earliest opportunity, but please remember to be be patient as they are volunteers who all work full-time jobs. They always do their best to return messages and schedule adoption interviews within a couple of days of receiving your application. Again, you can submit an application here.

Meet Miles

This week's adoptable kitty is definitely a handsome little man! Posey County Humane describes Miles as,

is a big boy who loves attention

He is FIV positive so Houdini will need to bein a home where he is the only cat. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus is only contagious among cats and is difficult to transmit. Posey Humane says that FIV requires no special treatment. Miles does well with children and dogs.

Posey Humane Society has plenty of other kitties as well as lots of dogs, both young and old. Their adoption fees are $30 for cats, $50 for kittens up to 6 months old, $100 for dogs and $150 for puppies under 6 months old. The adoption fees include their microchip, spay or neuter, heartworm test and getting the animal up to date on vaccines. If you're interested in meeting this week's adoptable cat or any of the other wonderful and deserving animals in the care of Posey Humane Society, you can visit them on Facebook or by visiting their official website, PoseyHumane.org. They are also in need of foster homes where the animals can wait for their forever families without having to stay inside the shelter.
