From The Files Of The Prosecutor!

It's the start of another week, and a new list of names of dumbass criminals that have been preying on our community.  For their efforts, these people have gotten themselves charged with a felony.  Maybe you know one of these upstanding citizens.

VANDERBURGH COUNTY FELONY CHARGES

Evansville, IN – October 3, 2011 – Below is a list of felony cases that were filed by the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office on Friday, September 30.

 William Gant                     Theft – D Felony

 Jacob Rhodes   Dealing in Methamphetamine – Class A Felony (Two Counts)   Possession of an Altered Handgun – Class C Felony   Neglect of a Dependent – Class C Felony

 Jezediah Skelton   Criminal Confinement – Class C Felony   Criminal Confinement – Class D Felony     Strangulation – Class D Felony Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury – Class D Felony

 Dana Smith   Dealing in Cocaine – Class A Felony   Carrying a Handgun without a License – Class A Misdemeanor

 Amber Stearns   Neglect of a Dependent – Class C Felony   Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Class D Felony

 Under Indiana law, all criminal defendants are considered to be innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

I am somewhat of the mindset, that by making these public records available for all to see, it shames the criminals and their families.  Shame is what those who victimize others deserve at the very least.

Also, be aware of your surroundings while enjoying the Fall Festival this week, especially in the evening.  There are credible threats for gang violence to take place.  Be vigilant anad report to the police anything you feel is suspicious.  Please don't take this lightly.  I can't divulge more, but I am privvy to much info that I am unable to share except to say be cautious in the night time hours this week at the Fest.
