In partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense, the Delta Regional Authority will be hosting the Green River Area Wellness Mission in Henderson, Kentucky.

What is the Green River Area Wellness Mission?

The Green River Area Wellness Mission is part of the Department of Defense's Innovative Readiness Training. The project has a two-fold benefit. It allows members of our military a training opportunity, while simultaneously providing care services to underserved populations at no cost.

Services Offered at the Green River Area Wellness Mission

Members of the community will have the opportunity to receive necessary care with no out of pocket expense. The services provided are provided at absolutely no cost and include vision exams, single lens glasses, and wellness exams, as well as dental exams and extractions. Additionally, veterinary wellness services will also be available at no charge.

Services Are Open to All Ages Three and Up on a First-Come First-Served Basis

There are no income requirements to qualify to receive services as part of the Green River Area Wellness Mission. Likewise, there is no residency requirements to participate. The services are open to anyone ages three and up on a first-come, first-served basis.

“On behalf of the United States Air Force, Air National Guard, Army Reserve and Army National Guard, we are honored to be able to bring an Innovative Readiness Training medical mission to Henderson this summer,” said Capt. Chris Park, IRT ANG Deputy Program Manager. “With a dual focus on enhancing deployment readiness and addressing critical health care gaps in local communities, the IRT program stands as a testament to proactive collaboration and impactful service. None of this could be possible without the unwavering support of community partners. Together, we look forward to making a tangible difference for those in need of no-cost medical care.”

When and Where Does The Green River Area Wellness Mission Take Place?

Green River Area Wellness Mission will take place June 15 - 25, 2024, at South Middle School located at 800 South Alves Street in Henderson, Kentucky. If you would like additional information regarding the Innovative Readiness Training, you can visit IRT.defense.gov.
