EVSC Releases 2020-2021 Year to Start Even Earlier

Every year it seems school starts earlier and earlier and the 2020-2021 school year with the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation is no exception. The new calendar was approved at a school board meeting earlier this week and was released (see below) on Facebook. Most of the comments have a similar theme... Why so early? The 2020-2021 school year will begin on Wednesday, August 5th. This is the earliest start date that I can remember in recent years. Some think it robs students of a full summer vacation and others wonder why there is a need for a fall break. One thing is for sure - August 5th will be the start of a new year for the EVSC.
