*UPDATE JANUARY 4TH 2021*

Siciliano Subs on Franklin street have plans to re-open their sub shop. After 2 years of business in the beginning of December Siciliano announced they would be closing up shop.  In their post they cited many different reasons for having to make this difficult decision, but the COVID-19 shut downs did have a massive impact on their business. But recently Siciliano Subs took to Facebook after an overwhelming amount of support from the community:

What a rollercoaster 2020 has been! David and I are so grateful for your support as we navigate these difficult times. Restaurants all across the tristate are closing and we are grateful to this beautiful community for fighting back with us. #saveourrestaurants
We have been putting pen to paper and have decided..
WE WILL REOPEN
(Date will be announced soon)
Many of your Siciliano Subs favorites will be back plus we are adding in some new favorites, like charcuterie boards and catering.
From our family to yours....
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Here is some of our favorite pictures of the past year...
I personally cannot wait to stop in and indulge in their Siciliano sub, it's my favorite! I'll be sure to keep you updated when Siciliano announces a re-opening date.

2020 has been a hard year for everyone, especially local businesses. One local business unfortunately will be closing their doors after how hard 2020 has been on them. Siciliano Subs on Franklin street made the announcement on their Facebook page:

We are bringing you this announcement with a heavy heart. Siciliano Subs is closing it’s doors after 2 years. As much as it hurts our soul, we just can’t keep the doors open. Sicilianos never fully recovered from the first COVID-19 quarantine. Now with a sick child we are quarantined yet again.
Danielle and I thank you for all the love and support you have shown us over the years. You have allowed us to chase down a lifelong dream and we absolutely loved every single minute of it. We were able to show our kids what hard work and dedication to a dream looks like. Now, it is time for us close this chapter and continue our journey to whatever the future holds.
We are so thankful for the special connections we have made in our short time on Franklin St.
To our amazing staff, past and present, thank you. We couldn’t have made it this far without you. You taught us so much on how to be a team player and a good leader. You will always be a part of Team Siciliano.
We will continue service you week with limited hours. Thursday-Saturday 11:00am - 2:00pm or until the last sub is sold.
We are eternally grateful,
David and Danielle Hodge
It's always sad when a local business closes, but I'm especially bummed because they have hands down, my favorite sub sandwich in Evansville. If you get a chance to catch them before they close for good, I recommend The Siciliano sub.  Thank you Sciliano Subs for being a part of our community, I hope in some capacity you'll be back in the future.
