Evansville Museum Announces Epic Summer Day Camps For Kids
The Evansville Museum of Arts, History, and Science announced their plans for the 2023 Summer Day Camps that involve space, spies, crusades, engines, and more!
Our museum here in Evansville has so much to offer guests of all ages. From the variety of rotating exhibits involving the arts, history, and science to the Koch Immersive Theater, there's always something interesting to see at the museum all year round. It's a great place to visit especially when it's cold or rainy, but it's also cool to see in the summer too. When it comes to kids, summertime at the Evansville Museum of Arts, History, and Science is a great time. Each year they host summer day camps, and this year will be no different.
Evansville Museum Summer Day Camps
The Evansville Museum of Artis, History, and Science just released the themes and schedule for the 2023 Summer Day Camps for kids. I'm not going to lie, I am extremely jealous of kids who will be partaking in these camps because several of these themes sound like a great time! Check out the lineup for the 2023 Evansville Museum Summer Day Camps:
<p><strong>Chrono Crusaders</strong></p><p>Wed June 14</p><p>Join us for a jaunt through time! Campers will visit the eras of the dinosaurs, learn how the Egyptians made mummies, take a peek at the innovations of Ancient Asia, try their hand at medieval engineering, and so much more. If you have an interest in archaeology or paleontology, then you will love traveling through time with Chrono Crusaders Camp!</p>
<p><strong>Spy Academy Camp</strong></p><p>Wed June 28</p><p>Have you ever wanted to be a spy? Then you will want to enroll in this one-day-only Spy Academy Camp! Spy trainees will learn everything needed in today’s world of espionage: how to decipher fingerprints & codes, extract DNA, and observe and analyze their surroundings. We will also be inventing our own spy gadgets and challenging ourselves in the Museum’s obstacle course!</p>
<p><strong>Astro Explorers Camp</strong></p><p>July 12</p><p>Are you ready to blast off into space? Then this camp is for you! Campers will feel like they are among the stars and on another planet when this camp visits the Museum’s Koch Immersive Theater. This year, we will be creating our own planetary rovers to explore alien worlds. Plus, we will be collecting rocks on the “moon” and “discovering” microscopic life on other planets!</p>
<p><strong>STEAM Engineers Camp</strong></p><p>July 26</p><p>Do you like a challenge? Then STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, & math) Engineers Camp is the perfect place for you. Campers will be given a variety of brain-stretching problems designed to test their problem-solving skills. We will be building earthquake-proof buildings, roller coasters, and using science to create art. Are you up to the challenge?</p>
I'm a fully grown man and even I want to go to Space Camp! Chrono Crusaders Camp sounds pretty cool too. However, these camps are for campers 6 to 10 years old. I am a few years past that requirement, unfortunately.
Each camp will have unique, small-group educational experiences with hands-on activities perfect for kids who enjoy creating and imagining. Plus each camp includes a show in the Koch Immersive Theater.
