The River City Rodeo brought three nights of exciting Bullfighters, Rodeo Clowns, and as promised, EPD's Officer Taylor Merriss rode a bull for 911 Gives Hope.
Daredevil Fundraising
Taylor Merriss is the Special Projects Coordinator with the Evansville Police Department, and several of her projects have involved kind of crazy ways to raise money for local charities. Taylor has boxed in the Guns & Hoses ring, she rappelled down the Centerpoint Energy building for Granted, and now she can add Bullriding to her repertoire.

Exclusive Interview with EPD's Taylor Merriss - Rodeo Recap
Taylor's Thoughts After Riding A Bull Twice
Now that I’ve had time to wash the mud off and apply some biofreeze, I’m so grateful to the River City Rodeo. They helped me raise money for 911 Gives Hope and also check off a bucket list wish. I was able to ride a bull twice, maybe not the full 8 seconds, but to me it’s bigger than that. My family came to town to watch and spend time with me, I met some really great people along the way, and most importantly money was raised for a great cause. There are so many people to be grateful for in my life who allow me to do the awesome things I get to do in this community. As Paul Fritchley said - ‘you got a full season of rodeo in in two days; dirt, mud and a great crowd cheering for you.’ Can’t thank that man enough for investing time and equipment in for me to do this. Now what’s next for charity - sword swallowing??? Yeehaw.

The challenge to rappel over and down a 9-story building is one that over 100 people said YES to. Why? It's all for the Granted Wish Children. Here are a few pics from the First-ever Over The Edge 4 Granted Fundraiser in Downtown Evansville, Indiana.
The Most Unique Museums in Indiana
Indiana is home to a whole bunch of museums, several of which house some pretty unique, unusual, and unreal items. Here is a list of 14 such museums from all around the Hoosier state. I decided to list them in alphabetical order. Enjoy!
