Energize Evansville to Host Football Workout This Saturday
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke invites the community to join him at Central High
School this Saturday, July 16, from 9am-11am for this month’s free Energize Evansville workout. This month’s program will feature a fun football-style workout with the Central High School Bears Football Team.
The Central High School football team will lead participants through different variations of
agility, speed and weight training exercises for all fitness levels. There will be a cool down walk to Igleheart Park following the morning exercise. Everyone is encouraged to attend and exercise at their own pace.
Energize Evansville is a health and fitness program launched by Mayor Winnecke as part of his health initiative to give individuals support to transform their lives thru physical activity. The program is held the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at a different city park or venue and features local fitness experts leading group exercises for all ages.
The Energize Evansville August 20 exercise session, Line Dancing with SWIRCA, will be held at Garvin Shelter House in Garvin Park, 1600 North Main Street.
