Over a Dozen Bald Eagles Spotted in an Illinois Tree

The Bald Eagle is the national bird, and a symbol of American freedom, but have you ever seen a group of bald eagles hanging out in a tree? I've never seen anything like this, and the photos are truly stunning. Recently, Teresa Ferguson was heading home when she saw something that was so amazing she had to turn around and take a photo. This may just be the most patriotic thing I've ever seen.

Teresa happened to snap some incredible photos when she saw over a dozen eagles hanging out in a tree. I reached out and she allowed me to share her photos with you after the eagles in a tree photo went pretty viral on Facebook. I asked Teresa for the story behind the photo and this is what she said:

Taken January 19th of 2022 on my way home I seen a few of them in a tree and HAD to turn around to see if what I saw was real. when I got parked on the side of the road on 136 between iowa and Illinois boarder I couldn't believe what I seen. I took so many pictures. I just love to watch eagles soar. we have what they call "eagle day" when you can see lots but this blew my vision. crazy, and you can hear them chattering. I live in Keokuk Iowa. They are there because the water don't freeze below lock and dam 19 on the Mississippi river.
