David’s Bridal Announces Store Closures in Kentucky and Indiana: Is Evansville Among Them?
As we hear about more and more retailers filing for bankruptcy protection and closing stores, it's easy to assume that all locations are closing. But, that isn't always the case.
David's Bridal Set to Close Kentucky and Indiana Locations
If you are a bride-to-be and you think that the shop that has your gown is closing, panic sets in quickly. I've watched enough episodes of Say Yes to the Dress to know that the whole dress-buying experience can be a whirlwind of emotions.
Recently, David's Bridal has been in the news for the restructuring of its operations. For some locations, this does mean that the bridal shop will close. However, some cities will keep their David's Bridal for the time being.
According to this list from the Bankruptcy Auction, the locations that are listed as having a private sale in June are on the list of stores set to close. The locations that are listed as action date TBD, those stores will remain open for now. The company is still hoping for a buyer.

Evansville, Indiana Store to Remain Open
Obviously, with business in the crazy state that it's in, we can't say for certain that the Eastland Shoppes location will remain open forever, but it is for now. Loni Decker is the local store manager, and she issued a statement on social media:
I am the store manager at the Evansville location, our store has been advised that we are NOT closing but we are still having all of the same sales and we will be taking on any and all Paducah customers that still need any assistance!
