Covid-19 Deaths Reach 173 in Indiana Including First In Vanderburgh County
We have all been watching the numbers rise across the country and now the Tristate since the coronavirus pandemic started to spread in the United States just over a month ago. The numbers are staggering and they continue to grow.
As of noon today, April 7th the Indiana State Department of Health reports 5,507 cases of Covid-19 in the Hoosier State. Of those, 44 confirmed cases are in Vanderburgh county. The state has also released the number of total deaths related to the virus - 173 across the state, including the first known Covid-19 related death in Vanderburgh county.
The CDC has just recently issued guidelines on wearing fabric masks when in public, including how to make them in order to help lessen the spread of the virus. We have to all continue to do our part to adhere to the Stay-At-Home order issued by Governor Holcomb, practice safe social distancing, wear masks, practice proper hand washing, etc so we can bring the spread of this virus down and flatten the curve.
