On Friday (May 10), Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor revealed he was undergoing a double knee surgery. With the procedure completed, he's shared two updates on his progress, promising to be back onstage in "no time," which is fortunate because he's going to need to be onstage at the end of the week.

"Just got out of surgery. Doctors said everything was great. Just cleaned up a bunch of stuff in there and I will be back on stage in no time," the singer said in an Instagram video. "I’ll see everyone on Kimmel, I’ll see everyone on the 19th at Garden Grove and can’t wait," he continued, speaking about upcoming performances with both Slipknot and as a solo artist.

"Thank you to everybody for their well wishes and everything and we’ll see you soon."

Taylor followed up this message with a photo of his surgically repaired knees, which featured bandages over the small incision sites. "By Request. Surgery was swell, but here’s to hoping the swelling goes down. See you motherfuckers this weekend," the singer wrote.

As Taylor mentioned, Slipknot have an upcoming performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which will air on Friday (May 17) on ABC at 11:35PM ET. It will be the band's first performance since November of 2016 and with a new album on the way, that should mean their new masks, which Taylor has been cryptically teasing, will finally be unveiled.

Slipknot's new album will be out on Aug. 9. They'll embark on a North American tour dubbed the "Knotfest Roadshow" which features support from Volbeat, Behemoth and Gojira. Head here to see the list of upcoming tour dates.
