The annual city of Evansville Christmas tree lighting ceremony is here!

It's crazy that next week is Thanksgiving, and the holidays are right around the corner. 2019 has seriously flown by. You can help celebrate, and welcome the holidays with the annual Christmas tree lighting.

The tree is a massive 36-foot tall 30-foot wide Norway Spruce, and is on display in front of the Civic Center in downtown Evansville. On Thursday at 5PM Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will welcome the start of the holiday season by offering a few words, and beginning the countdown to turn on the 25,000 Christmas tree lights.  North High School Varsity choir will also perform at the Christmas tree lighting.

It'll be a fun event, and a great way to welcome in the holiday season, it's open to everyone who wants to attend. Not to mention, the massive beautiful tree will make for great photo ops. If you can't make it to the ceremony, the tree will be up and lit until January 1st, 2020.
