Blacksmith Makes a Real Pair of Wolverine Claws [Video]

Fans of the X-Men, and Wolverine in particular, ‘should’ be in for a treat this weekend with the release of the new movie The Wolverine. And if you’re any kind of Wolverine fan, you know you have at least considered what it might be like to have his infamous claws. Don’t lie, you have.

I say ‘should’ because you just never know what you’re gonna get with super hero movies. The first Wolverine movie didn’t get a whole lotta love, and for good reason. But the early reports are that this new flick is the one that Wolverine fans have been waiting to see. We shall see.

Below is a video showing you what it takes to actually make a real pair of those claws. Well, they’re completely accurate, they don’t actually come out of your arms, but you’ll get the point. The “Man at Arms” is a blacksmith who has made real versions of some of the most badass fictional weapons. Enough people wanted to see Wolverine’s claws, so he decided to make ‘em. You’ll see for yourself that those bad boys are straight up scary.

And then below that is a video depicting what life might be like if you really did have Wolverine’s claws inside your body. It’s not a pretty picture, but it’s funny as hell.
