Celebrated around the globe, March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day - a day to celebrate our friends that were born with an extra 21st chromosome. Our local friends at SMILE on Down Syndrome had a very big day planned today, full of activities for their self-advocates and their families, but as the world braces as the coronavirus, Covid-19 continues to spread, they had to make some adjustments to those plans. However, not celebrating this special day, simply wasn't an option!

Not only can you take part in a VIRTUAL CELEBRATION of WDSD, but also as part of the modified celebration, SMILE is hosting an online auction via their Facebook page where users can bid on a number of really cool items, like Holiday World Tickets, Easter baskets, Custom Tumblers, and more.

To bid, simply leave a comment with your bid amount on the post with your desired item. Don't forget to visit the page often and check to make sure you haven't been outbid.

SMILE on Down Syndrome is a local 501 c 3 organization that provides support services to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, social and educational needs of people of all ages with Down syndrome and other cognitive disabilities, their families and communities.
