The annual SMILE Mile is quickly approaching October 3rd in celebration of National Down Syndrome Awareness Month and in promotion of the acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.

Typically, this one mile walk would take place on the grounds of the Vanderburgh 4-H Fairgrounds but because of concerns surrounding the coronavirus, our friends at SMILE are doing things a little different! Rather than walking the grounds of the 4-H fairgrounds, participants will caravan in their respective vehicles in a parade beginning at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 3, 2020.

SMILE is seeking local businesses, groups & organizations to come out and line the parade route and honk, cheer and wave to the SMILE families participating in the parade. If you're interested in registering to participate you can do so here. There is also a virtual option to take part in the SMILE Mile as well.
