October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, and several local rescues are stepping up to help more dogs (and cats!) find their forever homes.

Indiana Shelters Join National Adoption Campaign

In partnership with Best Friends Animal Society, shelters across Indiana, including right here in the Tri-State, are joining a multi-state adoption event aimed at helping thousands of pets find families.

Local Rescues Offering Reduced Adoption Fees

Locally, Warrick Humane Society, NewLife Rescue & Adoption in Posey County, and Warrick County Animal Control are all participating, according to a Facebook event shared by Best Friends Animal Rescue. Between now and November 2, these organizations will feature reduced adoption fees with many under $50, and plenty of furry faces eager to meet their match.
