I put the accompanying photo on my Facebook page yesterday, along with my take of what should be done with Roberts Stadium, and boy did I get response.  This is a passionate subject, which is good.  We should be passionate about our city and the way it's run and what kind of say we have in matters.  So firstly, to whomever created the yards signs that blanket my near-Stadium neighborhood, apparently you were so passionate it blinded you to proper punctuation.  It's ROBERTS Stadium, Not Robert's.  There is not a guy named Robert who owns the stadium.  It is named after former mayor Former Mayor H.O. "Hank" Roberts.   The complex was called a "sportscenter," then Municipal Stadium. It also was called "Hank's Tank" by critics who warned it would be a white elephant.   It seems it has achieved the 'white elephant' stage now that the new Ford Center downtown is in operation.   So what to do with the old Stadium?   I am in agreement with some of say it would make a great site for an outdoor softball or soccer complex.  Some say it should made into an indoor pool.   What do you think?  If I can get enough reponses to this post, I will copy them and paste them up into an e-mail to incoming Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.   If you care, let your voice be heard!
