When news broke earlier this week that Warner Bros. is developing a reboot of The Matrix, the only appropriate response was one that Keanu Reeves would approve of: Whoa. And that’s not necessarily a good “whoa,” especially since the Wachowskis reportedly aren’t involved. But Matrix fans can relax a bit because, according to the writer of the new project, this isn’t a reboot or a remake after all.

The Wachowski's latest, 'Jupiter Ascending,' will hit theaters later this year and seems to herald back to the sibling pair's mega sci-fi blockbuster that skyrocketed them to fame, 'The Matrix.' While 'Jupiter' may not have enough juice to become as big of a box office hit, Warner Bros. may have a backup plan -- launching a new 'Matrix' trilogy. There is no doubt that The Matrix, as a trilogy, can be a bit confusing...at the very least it's a little hard to follow at times. Personally, I thought the first film was the easiest to understand...that's not necessarily the case for this mom.
