Michael Bay is scheduled to start shooting 'Transformers 4' in the next couple weeks, so the final casting announcements should be hitting shortly. the latest addition to the cast is 'The Hunger Games's Stanley Tucci. .

Bay announced this news at CinemaCon, and Collider was the first to report it. Tucci joins cast members Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor, but knowing Bay there will probably be another couple A-list performers and at least one comedian brought in to the supporting cast. Say what you will about the previous 'Transformers' movies, but they roped in heavy hitting actors like Jon Voight, John Turturro, John Malkovich, and Frances McDormand, so it's no surprise to see Bay go after a great performer like Stanley Tucci. Tucci has long been a great go-to supporting actor, someone who always gives an interesting performance, even in bad movies (of which he's made quite a few).

It's unknown what part Tucci will play, but the most recent synopsis of the film is this:

a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists [who] attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control—all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs.

Which suggests that Tucci will either be playing a businessman or scientist. Though this is something of a reset/reboot as there's an entirely new cast, our guess is that it will also be more of the same, just with 100% less Shia LaBeouf. 'Transformers 4' is scheduled to hit theaters June 27, 2014.
