“People You May Know” On Facebook Leads to Bigamy Charges

In TACOMA, Wash. a 41 year old man is slapped with bigamy charges after his first wife finds his second wife on Facebook's "People You May Know" feature.

Alan O'Neil married wife number 1 in 2001 and soon moved out 8 years later and changed his last name and remarried wife number 2.

According to 14 WFIE,

"Wife No. 1 went to wife No. 2's page and saw a picture of her and her husband with a wedding cake," said Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist told The Associated Press.

Wife No. 1 then called the defendant's mother."

O'Neill allegedly told wife number 1 not to tell anyone and he would fix this, but of course she didn't listen she told the police, as would I.

To top this whole story off. O'Neill was a corrections officer. If charged he will send one year in jail. We can't have him running off and changing his last name for the third time and marrying wife number 3.
