OV_ _ BLO_N: Pat Sajak Now Says ‘Drunk’ Comment Was Exaggerated

Pat Sajak, longtime host of 'Wheel of Fortune', is known for his quick wit and, as a former radio personality, kind of hates to see all the publicity he's been getting lately go away. This, of course, from his comments on a recent appearance on ESPN2 where he admitted, back in the day, chasing a few margaritas between tapings of WOF with letter-flipper, Vanna White.

"Vanna and I would go across and have two or three or six and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet ... I had a great time. I have no idea if the shows were any good, but no one said anything, so I guess I did OK," said Sajak.

But now he tells ABC News Radio he may have exaggerated a bit. "To be honest, and I hate to put an end to this drinking thing because we've gotten a lot of mileage out of it, but it was probably a half a dozen times we went across the street and had a margarita ... But when you're telling a story on the air, you want to make it sound more exciting than it was. In truth, you really can't do television if you're stumbling all over the place." Of course, the story as been all over Facebook and Twitter, with our favorite tweet coming from fellow host of DWTS' Tom_Bergeron who tweeted: "Pat Sajak cops to being behind the Wheel (of Fortune) while intoxicated. So what? For 6 years I hosted Hollywood Squares with no pants." Yikes!
