The next time someone hands you some money, you may want to look it over.  The Owensboro Police Department is again warning of fraudulent bills circulating the area.  As a matter of fact, authorities say there have been nearly three dozen reported cases thus far.  And the investigation is ongoing.  Here's what to be on the lookout for.

According to the OPD, there have been thirty-two documented cases involving the
exchange of fraudulent money as payment for goods or services.  The investigation involves fake 5's, 20's, 50's and $100 dollar bills..

The Owensboro Police Department is bringing this to YOUR attention
in order to remove these bills from circulation.  According to investigating detectives, several of the bills "are clearly marked as props and should not be accepted as legal tender."
