Watch Josh Homme Tell Heckler, ‘It’s Past Your F—ing Bedtime’
Here’s a handy tip for anybody planning to see Queens of the Stone Age in concert: Don’t insult frontman Josh Homme. Video has surfaced of him verbally embarrassing a guy whom he spotted giving him the finger. The incident took place over the weekend during the Splendour in the Grass Festival in Byron Bay, Australia.
The clip, which you can see below, was found by NME and took place in between songs. “That guy stood up on top of that guy just to give me the finger,” Homme said. “But he gave me the wrong f—ing one. Isn’t it really this one that you want to do?” Homme then proceeded to use his hands to mime sexual intercourse.
“Get out, it’s past your f—ing bedtime, son,” he continued. “No, seriously, it’s past your bedtime. The goal is to dance with a young lady, not to stand on your best friend’s head – unless you’re that f—ing guy.”
Queens of the Stone Age are preparing to release their seventh record, Villains, on Aug. 25. The album was produced by Mark Ronson and it’s been suggested that it incorporates keyboards and danceable grooves without sacrificing the heavy rock riffs for which they’ve become known.
They’ll back it up with a six-week tour of North America that begins at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., on Sept. 6 and concludes at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Oct. 24. They’ll spend November touring Europe and you can get see all the dates at their website.
