In Memoriam: TV Characters That Bit the Dust in 2015

All the big award shows always have an "In Memoriam" segment to remember the people in that industry that passed during the year. Since 2016 is this Friday, I decided to have my own "In Memoriam" of the fictional character variety...

I watch a lot of TV...more than I probably should. So, with this list, the people I have in bold are the character deaths that completely ruined me emotionally when I watched it.

But when has the Doctor ever followed the rules...? (You have to watch "Heaven Sent" and "Hell Bent" to find out more...)

Even in the end. Paul refused to die until Sarah was safe, and then he sacrificed himself for her and her 'sisters'. That's love.

Reign
-Francis II (Toby Regbo)
COD: Technically, Francis died twice. Once from an illness. Then Delphine the healer brought him back, but at a price. A life for a life. Mary offered her life for Francis's and he was brought back. Mary is later attacked in the woods and Francis fights to defend her. One of the attackers bashes Francis's head into the ground multiple times. He manages to fight the attackers off but once his adrenaline wears off, the severity of his head wounds are too much and he collapses and later dies of the internal cranial injuries.

COD: The healer takes her life for Francis's.
-General Renaude (Vince Nappo)
COD: Hanged.

Revenge
-Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stomwe)
COD: "Died" when she blew up the Grayson mansion. She came back to reveal that she didn't die in the explosion...and was then shot by David. And this time she stayed dead.
-Ben Hunter (Brian Hallisay)
COD: Stabbed by the assassin White Gold.
-David Clarke (James Tupper)
COD: Lymphoma.

Scream  and  Scream Queens
These are both shows aimed towards suspense and the fact that you don't know who will live and who will die. So, I'm not going to spoil it for everyone by telling you who makes it and who doesn't. Also, both shows have a laundry list of kills so long that it could be a post in itself.

Silicon Valley
-Peter Gregory (Christopher Evans Welch)
COD: Sadly, Chris Welch actually passed away from complications from his cancer and his character, Peter, had to be written off the show. Peter died from a heart attack when he was startled by a gun shot that was meant to scare off a hippo while he was on safari.

Sleepy Hollow
-Katrina Crane (Katia Winter)
COD: Stabbed by Ichabod Crane.
FINALLY. I mean...oh no...so sad...she was such an important character... (I love Katia Winter as an actress, but Katrina Crane was a poorly written character in the show and it almost physically pained me to watch her on screen in season 2. It was so bad.)
-Henry Parrish/Jeremy Crane (John Noble)
COD: Shot by Abbie Mills.

The Strain
-Coco Marchand (Lizzie Brochere)
COD: Shot by Ephraim. Instead of letting her become a strigoi, Palmer killed her and removed her heart.
-Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro)
COD: Became infected. Kill self by electrocution.

Supernatural
-Charlie Bradbury (Felicia Day)
This episode had me numb for days. I wasn't ready. No one was. Charlie was an amazing character and we all loved seeing her 2 or 3 cameos a year. She was a nerd! She was awkward! She was a computer genius! She was the LARP Queen of Moondoor! She was an honorary Winchester, and she didn't go down without a fight.
I think what emotionally ruined me the most was how they shot the scene. When Charlie confronts Eldon Styne, you never actually see them fight and it cuts to commercial. You think that when the commercials end and the show comes back on you're going to see this big showdown. Nope. Show is back on and you see Sam and Dean arrive and you think "Okay! They got there in time! They can help her out!" Then you see the room and the blood and you're like "Okay, so, aftermath of a fight. And Charlie won, right?" They run to the bathroom...and the camera stays on their faces. We don't know who won the fight, or if Charlie is injured, WHAT HAPPENED??
Then we see Charlie. And, after only being on for 45 seconds, the show cuts to another commercial break to let the viewers process their shock.
-Death (Julian Richings)
COD: Stabbed with his own scythe by Dean.
I know, Death died. It's hard to comprehend. But rest assured, people keep dying on the show regardless of their not being a "Death"...which hasn't fully been explained. Whatever. Like this show makes much sense in the first place.
-Hannah (Erica Carroll)
COD: Stabbed with an angel blade by Efram.

Teen Wolf
-Donovan Donati (Ashton Moio)
Now, this death affected me not because I liked Donovan. Not at all. I hated that kid. It affected me because of what happens to Stiles for the rest of the season.
COD: Donovan was trying to kill Stiles and chased him up some scaffolding. Stiles managed to cause some scaffolding to fall, getting Donovan off of him...and then Donovan landed on a steel pipe and was impaled. Even though it was self defense and not at all his fault, Stiles blames himself and sees himself as a killer.
There's a WHOLE LOT more to it (before and after), but this show is filled with so much drama I wouldn't even know where to begin. Just know that when Stiles hurts Chynna hurts. And because of this death Stiles was hurt A LOT for the rest of the season.
Why do I even still watch this show? Nothing good ever happens!

COD: Brain cancer. Yeah. One of the few deaths on the Vampire Diaries NOT caused by the supernatural.
-Jo Laughlin (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe)
COD: Stabbed by death by her twin brother Kai, on her wedding day, while pregnant, with twins. She was brought back to life by Bonnie by putting  the vampire Florence's soul into her...but Jo's human body couldn't handle carrying a vampire soul, and died again. Brutal.
-Liv Parker (Penelope Mitchell)
COD: Told Tyler to kill her so that he could trigger his werewolf curse again, which would save his life.
-Luke Parker (Chris Brochu)
COD: Forced to merge with Kai, killing him.
-Lily Salvatore (Annie Wersching)
COD: Staked herself to kill Julian, who she thought she was still linked to. Nope. Link broken. Oops.
-Kai Parker (Chris Wood)
COD: Decapitated by Damon.
-Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev)
COD: Nina deciding to leave the show. They didn't actually kill her off...kind of...She and Bonnie were linked by Kai, and Elena is in an eternal sleep until Bonnie dies. ...And Bonnie isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Vikings

COD: Bludgeoned by Floki.
-Siggy Haraldson (Jessalyn Gilsig)
COD: Drowned in freezing waters after saving Ragnar's sons from the same fate.

The Walking Dead

COD: Bit. Didn't go without a fight. Got eaten by walkers.
