There will now be whips and chains available for students who wish to incorporate a little bit of S&M into their ivy league curriculum.

Harvard University recently approved the campuses first bondage and sadomasochism club (Harvard College Munch), which aims to diffuse many of the common stigmas associated with the BDSM lifestyle by delivering “accurate understandings of alternative sexualities and kink.”

According to promos on the Harvard website, the Munch club (giggle) plans to offer “discussions and screenings” as well as a “space where college-age adults may reach out to their peers.” In laymen's terms, the club offers a platform for kinky students to connect with each other.

If you are just looking to get your rocks off, this club may not be for you. Munch claims to be more of a meeting place than a good excuse for an Ivy League orgy - the club’s constitution prohibits sexual contact at their events. Wow, that’s like signing up for a “beer of the month” club and not tasting the booze.

Harvard University has a number of clubs catering to lifestyle philosophies ranging from sex to abstinence. We know what you are thinking -- Abistinence club? Who signs up for a club to not get laid?
