Does it make you feel good, by serving those who need it? Even animals? They need our help the most.  This Saturday from 11a-3p the Spirit Medical Fund is having a big fundraiser by the Evansville Animal Care and  Control Center on Ulhorn Ave..

The Spirit Medical Fund was established after a brave little dachshund mix, later named Spirit, survived a horrific ordeal of animal cruelty. Spirit was found at the Oakhill Cemetery around Halloween 2000. She had been doused with gasoline, set on fire, and left to die. When found, she was close to death. Although she was in very poor health, she still had the will (& the SPIRIT) to live. In order for this to be possible, she needed costly medical treatments. The community reached out and provided us, through donations, with the needed money. This was the beginning of the SPIRIT MEDICAL FUND.
The Spirit Medical Fund assists with needed medical care for stray, homeless and abandoned animals that arrive at Evansville-Vanderburgh Animal Care & Control.

As you can see on the poster below, lots of entertainment, food, stuff for the kids...all kinds fun in other words. More info can be found here
