A new gameplay trailer for Techland and Warner Bros' Dying Light has shown its ugly zombified face just before E3 2014, and it makes the recently announced delay that much harder to swallow.

The trailer focuses on the many ways players will be bringing zombies down in Dying Light, showing off firearms, melee weapons, and some nifty maneuvering skills. There's standard fare like handguns and wrenches, awesome hybrid weapons like an electrified axe, and death from above via Assassin's Creed-like jumping kills. The trailer also shows a grappling hook that allows players to get away in a pinch, proving it's not all about offense in Dying Light.

The enemies of Dying Light also get some facetime, and it's not just your normal shambling corpses either. We see a giant muscle-bound undead wielding some kind of concrete hammer and a few zombies that look like they're glowing green in the darkness. Speaking of the dark, the new trailer shows us exactly what happens when night falls in Dying Light, and just as the trailer points out, "going out at night is suicide. You don't want to get caught out there after the sun goes down."

Dying Light is slated for a February 2015 release for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
