Current Drowning Pool lead singer, and former Soil front man, Ryan McCombs is out as lead singer of the band.

This will mark the 4th time the band has been on the search for a new singer. On the band's Facebook page, guitarist and vocalist C.J. Pierce says its a challenge they have met before, "Changing things up has not always been easy, but the band has become re-energized time and time again."

McCombs did vocal's on the bands recent self titled album and also on 2007's 'Full Circle'. He followed Jason Jones who quit the band due to 'irreconcilable differences'. He famously walked out before the band was supposed to play an Ozzfest show in their hometown. Jones, of course, followed the band's founding vocalist Dave Williams who passed away while the band was on tour in 2005. It was said determined that Williams had heart disease. It is Williams who is singing on the band's breakout hit, Bodies.

While the search is on for a new front man, the remaining three members of the band are said to be at work on another album.
