Chynna Was In a Music Video! (What!?)

That's right. I made my first 'on camera' debut in a new music video for local band Wax Astro. But this wasn't your normal music video...

This all started when a friend of mine, Mikael, got in touch with me late last year. He asked if I wanted to be a part of a music video for a local band. So of course I said "yes". Why would you NOT say "yes" to that??

As time went on he gave me more details about the music video shoot and what my role in it would be. "So, you're at a party and your ex shows up and it's super awkward." "Okay, cool. I can do that-" "Also, your ex is an astronaut and you're an alien." ".............I'm sorry, what?"

Turns out I had to be ENTIRELY PURPLE. I was a purple alien. Which sounds fun....until you realize that you have to do ALL OF YOUR OWN MAKE UP. Which is fine. It's just....SO MUCH PURPLE....

Don't get me wrong, this entire experience was super fun...I just never want to see purple makeup again for the rest of my life.

It's kind of like when I was little and we moved into a house that had a pink room (pink walls, pink carpet. Very 1970s) and my parents thought "Oh, that'll be Chynna's room!" But then my mom said that everything in my room had to match the room, so she bought me all pink things. Pink bed spread, pink bookcase, pink lamp, pink curtains....

I still hate the color pink to this day. That room gave me nightmares.

I'm pretty much getting that same feeling with purple now. I just need some time to myself...away from purple...

But, like I said, regardless of my new found aversion to purple, this was super fun.
