I was nine years old when the original Red Dawn came out...and I was a HUGE fan. Me and my buddies would pretend we were the "Wolverines" in our back yards. I'll still stop and watch it if I find it on. Needless to say, that movie holds a special place in my heart.

I was a little concerned when I heard they were filming a remake of this classic. I would say that more times than not, the remakes suck, and we're left saying "why did that movie need a remake?" So I honestly don't know if I even gave this movie a fair chance...I pretty much wrote it off from the beginning. But after seeing the trailer, I might need to change my thoughts...just a bit.

As you'll see, and if you didn't know, Red Dawn is about a group of young folks who band together to form a rebellion, to fight back against an invading force that has come to take control of America. It was those evil Russians who invaded us in the original film. This time around the bad guys are from North Korea. The Red Dawn remake features some familiar faces...like Chris Hemsworth (Thor, The Avengers), Adrianne Palicki (G.I. Joe: Retaliation), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Josh Peck (Drake & Josh), and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen).

Check it out and let me know what you think. Will it be as good as the original?
