As fans might know, the stars of any Battlefield games are the multiplayer modes and the many maps that players play through daily. With just a few more weeks until Battlefield 4's release, some new images and names for the upcoming maps have purportedly been uncovered.

A post on NeoGAF shows us a bit of the concept art and the names of the multiplayer maps we'll supposedly see in Battlefield 4. A lot of them are maps we've seen in trailers and other promotional materials that have already been released.

The map that most Battlefield fans should be familiar with is the Siege of Shanghai, which has been featured in nearly every trailer released so far. The Siege is also the map that players will see in the Beta on Oct. 4 (Oct 1. for Premium members).

Other maps includes Paracel Storm, Operation Locker, Damage, Flooded, Abandoned, Golmud Railway, Resort, Tremors and Dish. Of course, none of these names are final, but they give you an idea of what to expect when running through the maps. It will be interesting to see what kind of "levolution" effects will happen in each one, especially on a map called "Tremors."

Battlefield 4 will be released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 29, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will launch with their respective consoles.
