Chad Childers

Chad Childers has been a music lover since his parents dragged him along to an Aerosmith/Bachman Turner Overdrive show as an infant. His love of music turned into a career in the mid-90s when he left a job in the Midwest as a librarian and moved to California to intern for Westwood One Radio. That led to work researching for Casey Kasem's countdown shows, writing and producing the alternative and active rock-related prep services SpinFax, The Fax, and Rip, Read and Rock as well as doing interviews across all music and entertainment formats.

Green Day’s Mike Dirnt on Billie Joe Armstrong: ‘I Gotta Support My Boy’

Green Day are starting to get back on track after their fall of 2012 and early 2013 were derailed by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong's stint in rehab. Armstrong's troubles came to a head as their heavy promotional schedule took them to Las Vegas for a show last fall in which the frontman went on a guitar-smashing rant onstage. With the band preparing their return to touring, bassist Mike Dirnt addressed the past issues and their current state with Rolling Stone.

New Band Boasts Current + Former Members of Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees + Guns N’ Roses

Mad Season were one of the '90s more interesting supergroups, but the deaths of frontman Layne Staley and bassist John Baker Saunders stalled the release of the band's planned second album. However, drummer Barrett Martin and guitarist Mike McCready spent a good portion of the last year finishing off some of their unreleased material for a special expanded reissued of their 1995 debut 'Above' and that reignited friendship may lead to even more recordings.
