Why Did Someone Burn This Giant Donkey Sculpture Down?

A sculpture of a donkey was burned down this past weekend and people are speculating that it's an action of political violence, considering that the piece was done to symbolize the Democratic party.

News Center Maine reports that local politician Seth Berry called it, "An act of arson and of political terrorism."

It is still unclear who torched the statue and what their motives may have been.
