With many Kentucky families now working and schooling from home due to the COVID-19 outbreak, our friends from the UK Cooperative Extension Office are sharing some tips on what you should always keep stocked in your pantry.  You've seen the photos and you know that folks are basically wiping out entire sections of grocery stores and supermarkets.  That's why it's a great idea, if you're planning a trip to the grocery store during the coronavirus outbreak, to make a game plan and be strategic with what you buy.

Local Extension Agent Kelly Bland joined us on the show this morning to share these suggestions for stocking your pantry . . .

Kelly also adds that families typically only have their pantries stocked for a few days, but it's important to plan for longevity as well.  Ask yourself, "What can I stock that will last for a longer period of time?"

Also, Kelly says families wanting access to easy and nutritious recipes, can check out the site PlanEatMove.com or the Daviess County UK Cooperative Extension's Facebook page.
