Charcuterie boards seem to be all the rage these days. And, why wouldn't they be? It's all different types of delicious meats, cheeses, crackers, and fruit. I mean, what's not to love? They can be as big or small as you want, and some people who put them together can make them look like pieces of art that are almost too pretty to eat. Almost. But, as one western Kentucky restaurant is proving, a charcuterie board doesn't have to be fancy meats and cheeses.

Henderson, Kentucky Restaurant Offering Breakfast Charcuterie Board

I think the term, "thinking outside the box" is way overused, but I'm not creative enough to come up with another way to describe what Mr. D's in Henderson recently unveiled on Facebook. Feast your eyes on the "Pancake Charcuterie Board."

The restaurant says the board is perfect for "Employee appreciation, breakfast in bed, for your lovely wife a day off from cooking breakfast or simply just craving a good breakfast on the go." It features pancakes (obviously), bacon, sausage patties, and a mix of various fruits like blueberries, grapes, strawberries, oranges, and bananas. Another photo shared on the restaurant's Facebook page shows small jars of Nutella also included.

Based on the post above, the order can be customized but doesn't specify all the options available. The price also depends on how many people you're going to feed. Obviously, if you're looking to feed eight people, that will require more food than if you're only looking to feed four, so the cost will be a little higher.

To learn more about the Pancake Charcuterie Board or how you can order one, check out Mr. D's on Facebook.
