September 12th -14th, Downtown Evansville will play host to the Victory International Film Festival with over 120 films from more than 30 countries spanning all genres from documentaries, horror and sci-fi to comedy, drama and animation and more. A number of the films featured during the festival have had screenings at Sundance and Cannes as well as Vancouver International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and Atlanta Film Festival.

There will be an Opening Night Celebration at the Victory Theatre the evening of the 12th beginning at 6pm with an after party planned as well. Film screenings will begin on Friday, September 13th at noon and and will take place at multiple venues across downtown area including Central Library, Innovation Pointe, Encounter Church, and the Old National Public Theatre at WNIN. Saturday, September 14th screenings will begin at 10am and will continue through 6pm, with a 7pm Awards Ceremony at Encounter Church. Again, an after party will follow. Aside from viewing films, you can also take part in panels and presentations on topics like acting, producing, marketing, scoring and more.
