Veterans Memorial Parkway Under Construction Through August

As if there were not enough orange cones and barrels across the city of Evansville, and especially downtown, Veterans Memorial Parkway is now under construction too. According to a press release from the city, a sewer line project is the culprit this time around and will impact mostly the outside lane of eastbound Veterans Memorial but other lanes may be impacted to complete the project. How long can we expect to see orange? The city says, weather permitting, it should take about 4 weeks which would put it coming to a close around September 1st. I really don't know who thought it was a good idea to all of the construction that the downtown area needed at the exact same time, but here we are! Stay safe on the roads. It's a construction zone out there!
