Vanderburgh Health Dept Warns of Rabid Bat in Evansville
A bat found in Evansville has tested positive for rabies at the Indiana State Department of Health.
The Vanderburgh County Health Department recently shared that a bat in Evansville tested positive for the rabies virus. They'd like to use this as a time to remind pet owners to contact your vet and make sure your pet is up to date on their vaccines. Rabies can be spread to humans so it's extremely important to make sure your pets are vaccinated, and report any wild animals that seem to be acting strange to Animal Control.
