Vacation Like a Pirate on this Smoky Mountain Pirate Ship On a Tennessee Lake
This will certainly be the most unique Smoky Mountain getaway.
Smoky Mountain Vacations
Personally, one of my favorite places to get away is the Smoky Mountains. My husband and I enjoy going to Gatlinburg, because it's the perfect distance for a whole week, or just to go for a long weekend. Whenever I picture a Smoky Mountain getaway, however, I picture a cozy cabin with wooden walls, a cozy fireplace, and a nice porch to enjoy the mountain views while drinking my morning coffee. I think many picture cabins when they think of a getaway to the mountains, but recently I found a stay that is extremely unique, a Smoky Mountain pirate ship!
A Smoky Mountain Pirate Ship
Located on Douglas Lake in Tennessee, sits a rather unconventional houseboat. What makes this houseboat unconventional is it's been modeled to look like a pirate ship, complete with masts, skeletons, portholes, and more! If you're wanting a Smoky Mountain getaway like no other, this is certainly a good option.
The houseboat is decked out in pirate fashion, and everything on the inside has been made to look like it belongs on a pirate ship. From the treasure map bedding to the Captain Morgan statue in the living room.
Here is what the VRBO listing has to say about the Smoky Mountain pirate ship:
This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Live like a pirate on this pirate ship looking houseboat that looks and feels like a real pirate ship. 2 sleeping areas (1 main bedroom and bunk like sleeping quarters for the captains up front). Pull out sofas, dining table, kitchen area, and a bathroom with a toilet and shower. There are 3 TV’s and on the outside of the boat there are masts. Pirate decorations and scenes surround the boat.
When looking on Google Maps, this pirate getaway is docked on Douglas Lake which is about a 40-minute drive to Sevierville, Tennessee.
