It looks like Evansville will be getting not one but two new Dollar Tree stores, bringing the total to seven stores across the city.

Currently, you can find Dollar Tree on South Green River Road in the Lawndale Commons Shopping Plaza, in the shopping center on Diamond Avenue, a third location on Evansville's west side, as well as a location on Lincoln Avenue, and a fifth location on South Weinbach Avenue.

If you're like the rest of us, you have likely stopped into a Dollar Tree location to grab something that you needed in a hurry and for cheap, or maybe you pop in from time to time for inexpensive seasonal decor or craft supplies. Dollar Tree crafts is actually a whole subgenre of crafting.

Regardless of what you're stopping in for, there are a couple of things you need to know. First, according to a post from Evansville 411 News, a new Dollar Tree store will be going into the building located at the corner of Oak Hill Road and Morgan Avenue that once housed a Walgreens. The expected opening date for that location is sometime in 2022. The second of the new locations will be a brand new construction, slated for completion in early 2022 along Burkhardt Road in the Promenade shopping complex.

Now that we know where the new locations are going to be in Evansville, it's time to give you the other thing we know about Dollar Tree... They are raising their prices! That's right. The store known for its single dollar price point will begin selling items priced at over a dollar. The new prices will begin at $1.50 and go up to as much as $5 per item. Nevertheless, even at $5, the finds are sure to still be a bargain.
