Sometimes we forget that not everything on the internet is 100% accurate. No one likes egg on their face, so I am here to clear some things up.

As the world's self-proclaimed most passionate fan of Chef Guy Fieri, you could ask me pretty much anything about him or even his family, and I probably know the answer. So, when I saw a recent article shared by Mashed that said that Guy's favorite sandwich in Kentucky had a runny egg on it, I nearly fell out of my seat laughing.

"That's like Kryptonite." ~ Guy Fieri on how he feels about eggs.

Season 27 Episode 6 Guys Grocery Games

Synopsis: Egg-hater Guy falls victim to a prank when the whole episode involves eggs. This is one of many pranks in an attempt to trick Guy into eating one of his most-hated foods. Bonus Fun Fact: Guy Fieri will absolutely not eat liver.

Here we see Guy chasing a tiny bite of egg with olive oil.

Mashed did publish this Editor's note at the beginning of their article. But, like an old game of telephone, the more it's been shared, the more their information is tweaked.

Editor's note: The restaurant selections in this article are based on the opinions of the Mashed editorial team. They have not been selected by Guy Fieri.

Seriously, ask me anything about Guy Fieri 👇

Spoiler Alert: Guy Fieri does not have a favorite Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives location in every state.

I am the proud owner of Guy Fieri's New York Times best-selling book More Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Inside the book, Guy and his Triple D crew talk about how the show is put together and he answers some of the questions that he is asked all of the time.

So, what is the number one question that everyone asks Guy? 'What's your favorite diner, drive-in, or dive? Here is a direct quote from The Mayor of Flavortown:

"IMPOSSIBLE. That's like asking what was your favorite day of your life! There's not just a dish, location, or person. I'm happy I'm not able to define one of them as my favorite; that would make it hard to continue on with the show."

Guy Fieri has been filming episodes of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives since 2007. The Food Network show is now in its 36th season. That is a lot of restaurants featured, a lot of plates sampled, and a lot of pressure on chefs.

More About The Fieri Empire

I have personally been a fan of Guy Fieri since he won the 2nd season of The Next Food Network Star. That was way back in 2006. Fast forward to 2022 and the Fieri empire is growing by leaps and bounds. Guy has his own brand, Knuckle Sandwich, and he has a hand in multiple projects.
